Chevron Canada Limited announces US$6.5 billion sale of its interests in the Athabasca Oil Sands Project and Duvernay shale
Chevron Canada Limited (“CCL”) announced today that it and Chevron Canada Oil Sands Partnership (“CCOSP”) have entered into a definitive agreement to sell CCOSP’s 20 percent non-operated interest in the Athabasca Oil Sands Project, CCL’s 70 percent operated interest in the Duvernay shale, and related interests, all located in Alberta, Canada, to Canadian Natural Resources Limited.

Chevron Canada relinquishes offshore permits on west coast of Canada
Chevron Canada Limited (Chevron Canada) has elected to voluntarily relinquish 23 offshore oil and gas permits on Canada’s west coast. Chevron regularly evaluates its portfolio and has no plans to pursue development of these offshore permits, which are an estimated 5,900 square kilometres.

Chevron Canada Limited to exit the proposed Kitimat LNG Project
Although Kitimat LNG was a globally competitive LNG project, the strength of Chevron’s global portfolio of investment opportunities was such that in 2019, Chevron elected to cease further funding the project. Subsequently, Chevron Canada Limited (Chevron) and its 50/50 joint venture partner, Woodside Energy, elected to exit the Project.

Chevron Canada Limited Announces Execution of Additional Midstream Services for Development of the Duvernay Play
Chevron Canada Limited today announced it has executed agreements with Pembina Pipeline Corporation and Keyera Corporation which will increase the gross midstream capacity for Chevron’s Duvernay development to 200 million cubic feet per day of natural gas, 10,000 barrels per day of propane-plus liquids and 50,000 barrels per day of condensate.

Chevron partners with University of Alberta to strengthen engineering safety
Chevron Canada announced today it is investing $400,000 over the next three years in the University of Alberta’s Engineering Safety and Risk Management (ESRM) program. This investment, made jointly through Chevron Canada and Chevron Corporation’s University Partnership Program, will advance academic excellence in safety by training future engineers how to enhance the incorporation of safety and risk management practices into their professional activities.
