Emily O. Curthoys is vice president, Atlantic Canada, responsible for Chevron’s non-operated joint-venture interests in the Hibernia, Hebron and Terra Nova Fields, offshore Newfoundland and Labrador.
Emily joined Chevron in the Gulf of Mexico as a geologist in 1998 after obtaining her master’s degree from Oregon State University. She has held a variety of technical subsurface and leadership positions in the United States, Vietnam, United Kingdom, Denmark and Indonesia. Recent roles include Chevron Denmark country manager, Chevron Upstream Europe Operations special projects manager, asset development manager – East Kalimantan, Indonesia, and Gulf of Mexico technology manager.
Emily serves on the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) Atlantic Canada Executive Policy Group and is a board member for Petroleum Research Newfoundland.
