Balaji Krishnamurthy is president of Chevron Canada Limited, responsible for the company’s upstream interests in Canada, including oil sands, unconventional resource assets in Alberta and British Columbia, interests offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, and assets in the Northwest Territories and Yukon.

Balaji joined Chevron in 2002 as a process engineer for Chevron Technology Ventures in Houston, Texas. Since then, he has held a variety of technical and management roles of increasing responsibility in Angola, Thailand, Kazakhstan and the United States. Most recently, Balaji was the general manager of the Corporate Transformation and Integration Management Office, where he oversaw the enterprise transformation effort and led the Noble Energy integration.

Balaji earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and electrochemical engineering from the Central Electrochemical Research Institute in India, a master’s degree in materials science and engineering from the University of Florida, and a master’s in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
